Will I Have Visible Scars?
The access incisions are very small and typically leave minimal scars. In most cases, these scars are unnoticeable after several weeks. One incision is hidden in the submental crease under your chin, and the others are placed where the earlobe meets the cheek.
What is Recovery Like After Neck Liposuction?
You will rest at home and keep your head up for three days and three nights. During this time, you wear a chinstrap-type compression garment continuously. Starting on the fourth day, more activity is encouraged, and the garment is worn half the time for a few weeks. By post-op day 11, you may gradually begin to return to your normal routine.
Does Neck Fat Increase as We Mature?
As you mature, fat distribution in the body changes. You tend to lose fat in the face and hands and gain it in the trunk. In the neck, there may be additional volume, although the exact cause is not fully certain.
